A failed performance

In a failed performance, most things must go wrong!

Based on the Russian poet Daniil Kharms' lyrics, life and rebellion in the Soviet regime between World War I and World War II. A life that was characterized by swimming against the current, by acting and moving without following the current conventions. Very few would have taken the tram in a coat, floppy hat and tie, smoking a fat cigar and speaking fine German so loudly that everyone could hear him - surrounded by slobbering Bolsheviks who had just taken the rat out of the ruling aristocracy in Russia.

In this performance, we call it a soirée, we recreate an art and artist meeting that we imagine Daniil Kharms and his friends from the artist group OBERIU (Association for Real Art) could have set up.

- Or maybe it's just a scream in the dark from "poor jugglers" to show off. Over and over and over again.
